Senior Performance Marketing Manager
Olá!
Premium furniture has made beautiful design unnecessarily expensive, inconvenient and impersonal. We're building the alternative. nydo is an interior brand rooted in Italian-inspired design, starting with sofas and armchairs. Sold direct at a fair price: online, in our showrooms, and through partners like Breuninger. We're live in DACH and soon in Benelux. We're investor-backed to scale hard across Europe.
nydo isn't for everyone, on purpose. That goes for our sofas, and for our team. We hire people who own the outcome, not the task. Who argue with data, not titles. Who care about the cut-out in the frame and still ship at 80%. Who'd rather do the work than review it. And who treat every customer like a guest in their home.
If that's you, keep reading.
Why this role
Selling a four-figure sofa through Meta and Google is one of the harder problems in performance marketing. Long consideration windows. Customers who see an ad, visit a showroom and buy three weeks later, or the other way round. Multiple markets and several languages. Half of what the platforms report is wrong. We want someone who finds that exciting, not someone looking for a playbook.
- You build the function. First senior performance hire. Today: agencies and a lean in-house setup. In 12 months: the team, stack and testing machine you designed.
- Real budget, real calls. You decide where our multi-million (and growing) spend goes across markets and channels, and you back it with evidence, not platform ROAS.
- Short line to the top. You work directly with the founders and country managers. Ideas get tested in weeks, not quarters.
- Lisbon, with a real team. You join our Lisbon hub (brand, CX, strategy), not a satellite seat. Hybrid, with regular time in Frankfurt.
Location
Lisbon.
What you'll own
- Paid acquisition. Meta, Google and Pinterest: strategy, buying, budget allocation by market. TikTok and new channels when the data says so.
- Creative testing as a system. Hypotheses, variants, kill fast, scale winners. You brief our creative team and freelancers; you don't need to design.
- Measurement you'd bet money on. Clean tracking from click to order to showroom sale. Geo holdouts across showroom cities. Blended MER over platform-reported ROAS.
- Localisation. With our country managers in DACH and Benelux: same brand, different buyers.
- Build vs. buy. Run the agencies we have today; decide what comes in-house, and when.
How we'll measure your impact
- North star: profitable new-customer growth — new-customer revenue at target blended CAC and MER, across markets.
- Supporting: paid contribution to revenue growth, CAC by market and channel, and how much of the budget is backed by incrementality evidence.
Who you are
- Hands-on. You've personally run Meta and Google accounts. You live in Ads Manager, not just dashboards.
- Incrementality, not just attribution. You've run at least one holdout, geo or lift test, and moved budget because of it.
- Creative judgement. You can tell a strong hook from a pretty one, and prove it with data.
- Multi-market. You've run campaigns in more than one country and language.
- Track record over tenure. Usually 4+ years, but we care about what you've done, not how long it took.
- Languages. Fluent English. Dutch, German or French a plus.
Nice to haves
- High-AOV or considered purchases (furniture, home, mattresses, premium consumer), ideally online-to-offline.
- You've built or scaled an in-house performance team.
What we offer
- €55–70k gross base + VSOP.
- Coverflex flexible benefits (meal card, flex wallet).
- 30 days paid holiday, 2 home office days per week, and up to 6 weeks a year working remotely from abroad.
- Professional coaching twice a year and a personal learning budget.
- A small, international, design-led team, and Thirsty Thursdays in Lisbon.
